US Futures
In the US, futures for the S&P 500 edged up by 0.1%, while futures for the Dow Jones Industrial Average remained flat. It's worth noting that changes in futures do not always accurately predict market movements after the opening bell.
European Market
In morning trading, the Stoxx Europe 600 showed a 0.4% climb. Notably, DocMorris saw a rise of 6.6%, and Corbion added 4.5% to its value. On the other hand, Adyen experienced a loss of 4.6%, and Taylor Wimpey sunk by 3.6%. The FTSE 100 also showed a modest gain of 0.2%. In other European markets, France's CAC 40 increased by 0.6% and Germany's DAX climbed by 0.4%.
Wall Street Journal Dollar Index
The Wall Street Journal Dollar Index remained flat at 98.15.
Commodity Prices
In the commodities market, Brent crude witnessed a 0.9% increase, reaching $85.56 per barrel. Similarly, WTI crude rose by 1% to $82.04 per barrel.
Bond Yields
The German 10-year Bund yield saw a slight increase of 1 basis point, reaching 2.636% from 2.622%. Comparatively, the yield on the 10-year US Treasury climbed by 4 basis points to 4.289% from 4.253%. As a general rule, bond prices and yields move in opposite directions.
Asian Stocks
Asian stocks experienced mixed results, with Japan's Nikkei 225 index gaining 0.4%. However, Hong Kong's Hang Seng fell by 1.6%, and China's benchmark Shanghai Composite declined by 1.2%.
